It is friendly to the environment, ‘easy living’ day to day, as well as a great venue for entertaining guests. This is exactly what we wanted.

Matt actively listened to us throughout the construction process, provided good advice at all times, and respected the other design professionals involved to realise the home’s intent. Our house reflects the initial vision because he worked creatively and diligently with us and our architect, and demonstrated his skill and experience in transforming the plans into reality. Our architect was only available one day per week. We are sure this bought some unique challenges to the process, but Matt rose to the occasion, and formed a very successful and impressive working relationship with our architect.

We were continually impressed with how Matt handled problems. There were some unforeseen issues at the start of our project. Matt picked these up before they became bigger problems, and was in contact with us to work out a solution, if it needed our input. If it didn’t need our input he dealt with the issues effectively, and this was a large contributor to our positive building experience.

Matt also sourced the best subcontractors to ensure both a high quality level of finish and value for money. He has a reputation for being trustworthy and for careful attention to detail, and we have heard subcontractors comment in this way. The craftsmanship of his work has impressed us, further demonstrating the strong relationship that Matt has with his subcontractors, as well as the way he manages his direct team, who were at all times thorough, dependable and helpful. Their work can also be seen in the quality of finish in our home. Details in the recycled brick work, concrete floor, joinery and the varied use of timber in the home (just to name a few) make us feel that it is a superior home and was truly custom built for us.

Overall, we enjoyed Matt’s attitude and can-do spirit throughout the build, and his individual attention and advice. We would very much like to thank Matt for building our dream home! Rachael and Christian King
